The owners, Avis B. Shieder and James C. Shieder are two visionaries with a combined 50 plus years of investigative experience and specialized training across various principles of law enforcement, investigations and executive protection.

Special Investigator James Shieder, retired from the Metropolitan Police Department after 27 years of dedicated service. In 2003, following the increased threats on America and the September 11th terrorist attacks, James transferred to the department’s Homeland Security, Special Operations Division. Serving as part of this division, James was assigned to the Explosive Ordinance Unit where he trained and worked with Explosives Detection Canines (EOD) teams.
In July 2011, James was re-assigned to the Special Operations Division’s, Special Events Branch, where he was assigned to assist with high level escorts of the President and Vice President of the United States and other VIP Officials. In addition to the escorts, he assisted with security and safeguarding sports venues, convention centers, government buildings and other soft targets in Washington, DC.
Private Investigator Avis Shieder, a recent retiree of the Metropolitan Police Department, retired with more than 28 years of decorated service. Today, Mrs. Shieder is a Private Investigator, licensed across the State of Maryland with a specialized investigative background in covert field surveillance operations, general criminal investigations, executive protection, witness protection, narcotic and domestic violence investigations and identification; including thousands of hours of experience in courtroom testimony and trial preparation.
Avis is a highly recognized and seasoned Investigator with specialized investigative experience and a trained ability to direct and lead complex and multifaceted criminal investigations and Technical Surveillance Operations.
